French video game company Ubisoft has inked a new deal with Canadian media business theScore which will see the duo work together in creating a video series dedicated to the interactive entertainment company’s esports title, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
Aubrey Levy, theScore’s vice-president of marketing and partnerships, commented on the new partnership: “theScore esports has built a powerful reputation for highly engaging and dynamic video storytelling, providing competitive gaming fans globally with unrivalled access and insight into the titles, leagues, players and personalities they love.”
Under the terms of the new partnership, theScore will interview the community surrounding the title, including teams and personalities.
The series of interviews will include custom-made branded integrations from Ubisoft to promote the company’s Pro League and international esports events.
According to theScore, between March and May this year, the company’s esports division generated 64 million video views across its platforms – a 188% year-on-year increase.
