Online retailer The Very Group has teamed up with commercetools to overhaul the technology behind its own ecommerce platform. This is the first in a series of investments to improve the digital customer experience at the brand.
The new tools provided by commercetools will help to modernise and boost Very’s existing platform. Such changes are expected to help deliver a faster and improved customer experience.
CIO of The Very Group, Matt Grest, said: “This is one of the most exciting technology developments in Very’s history. Delivering a brilliant digital customer experience is more important than ever in today’s competitive retail environment, and commercetools will give us increased scalability and reliability when delivering change.
“Over the coming months we’ll be making even more investments in technology to give our customers their best ever experience on Very, and help our business to attract and retain more of the best tech talent.”
CEO and co-founder of commercetools, Dirk Hoerig, said: “We are proud to provide The Very Group with our headless commerce technology to create a unique digital experience for Very’s customers.
“While shopping expectations continue to change quickly, The Very Group will be able to respond to these fast-changing market demands with commercetools’ flexible and dynamic platform.
“We look forward to our partnership with Very as they continue to grow and invest in the customer experience journey.”
Very will begin migrating the various parts of its customer journey slowly from March onwards. Affiliates with The Very Group should look into how the changes and tools from commerce tools can benefit them and their audience.
