This week, Lee-Ann Johnstone discusses goal-setting on #AffiliateDriveTime.
She details why It’s so important to set goals for both you and your affiliate programme when looking to scale.
Here are a few quick things she mentions that you can do to keep growing your program.
Take time out to really think about your core objectives.
Make time to get away from your screen, sit in a quiet space and think about what you can do to plan and set goals related to you want to achieve. It can be as simple as making a 30 minute slot in your week to look for 3-5 affiliates to onboard. It could be that you want to build a report that can help you analyse your data faster.
Plan in 90-day cycles.
In Africa, they have a saying: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time”.
You don’t want to get overwhelmed with goals that you don’t realistically have time to achieve. Instead, set small and measurable ones that you can be wholly accountable for above your regular day-to-day affiliate affiliate management duties.
Measure your results.
Don’t forget to look back and track your progress. Seeing how far you’ve come and the differences that such small goals can make will spur you on to achieve more. Keep things simple, clear and achievable. You’ll be surprised at the results they bring.
We’d love to hear from you about these, too. That’s why we’re inviting you to take the “it worked for me” challenge. If you take up the challenge of goal-setting, get in touch and let us know how you did over the month. We’ll feature your affiliate program in our new letter for FREE!
