Affiliate compliance specialist Rightlander has launched Compliance Live, a new report for operators focusing on the UK and German markets.
This product will enable online gaming brands to get tougher on illegal streaming sites during sporting events.
The Rightlander Compliance Live launch comes just before this weekend’s Bundesliga restart, with other major European football leagues also expected to resume soon.
New features
Compliance Live helps operators to discover where they’re being placed in a predefined set of websites during live matches. Brands have found this challenging in the past, since affiliates will often only display brand links when the games are ongoing. As such, it’s harder to find copyright infringements.
Through the use of Compliance Live, these operators will be able to monitor both campaigns and brand mentions during matches. As such, they’ll be able to assess how their media partners are helping or hindering them.
In addition to real-time brand monitoring, the tool also includes predefined scans. Operators will now be able to find affiliate content at exact times that coincide with online users accessing illegal streams. By doing this, they’ll be more in control of protecting themselves against non-compliant activities.
Rightlander Founder Ian Sims shared his thoughts on the launch of this new report, which were as follows.
“Football fans have waited for months for live football action to start again. The Bundesliga is the first major league to resume and we are excited to be working for clients, scanning streaming sites to make sure there are no copyright infringements.
“We expect our activity to ramp up considerably as top flight football resumes across the globe following the recent hiatus and we look forward to working with our partners to ensure a safe and compliant experience for all affiliate traffic.”
European football returns this weekend
Germany’s Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga will both resume from tomorrow, following a two-month absence due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
As the country started easing lockdown measures, Chancellor Angela Merkel confirmed that sports would be able to resume earlier this month. Horse racing in the country has also restarted.
So far, the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) has arranged fixtures up to 26th May. The Bundesliga is currently on Round 26 out of 38 matches, so these arrangements will bring things up to gameday 29.
Tomorrow’s standout fixture is Borussia Dortmund’s meeting with rivals Schalke. Defending champions Bayern Munich – who are also top of the current table – head to the capital to face Union Berlin on Sunday.
