Responsible Affiliates in Gaming (RAiG) will make its first public appearance at iGB Affiliate London in February.
What’s planned so far?
The organisation’s debut will come in the form of a gambling panel. On this, they’ll speak about various topics. These include the importance of a body like such existing for affiliates, plus the importance of collaboration within the industry and more.
The panel will be moderated by Stephen Carter, Editorial Director of iGaming Business. Clive Hawkswood, RAiG’s Chairman, will be the main speaker.
When speaking about the upcoming event, Hawkswood said: “There are quite simply no good news stories where gambling is concerned, and the marketing of gambling is increasingly in the cross hairs of the regulators, politicians and the media.”
He continued: “I’ve lost count of the number of enquiries, consultations and debates that have taken. But none of those has the affiliate sector had any real voice. Hopefully, RAiG can help to fill that space. We also hope to develop measures that will demonstrate a commitment to addressing the concerns that are constantly being expressed.”
What is RAiG?
RAiG was set up by a group of prominent iGaming affiliates to promote player safety and encourage affiliates to do more in this respect.
Better Collective, Oddschecker and Racing Post are its three founding members.
Recently, these three brands went a social responsibility audit as part of their membership conditions. All three passed their respective tests, which were carried out by Gambling Integrity. Every new member will have to undergo similar checks once they join.
In the panel discussion, RAiG will talk not just about why it was formed but also what it plans for the industry going into 2020 and beyond.
The session will take place at ExCeL London on Thursday, 6th February 2020, beginning at 11:00.
