Gambling tech company Playtech has launched two new versions of live casino, in the form of Live Slots and Quantum Blackjack.
Combining verticals
Live Slots is a new idea which spans across the casino and slots verticals. It’s meant to create a game show feel, with each game being led by a host.
All Live Slots games will include a community spins feature, where players can also take part in a single game together. Playtech has introduced this to make Live Slots more social than the traditional version.
Kevin Kilminster, Head of Innovation for Live Casino at Playtech, said: “Live Slots is a genuinely new concept within the industry. It delivers an engaging new gameplay style for players, plus an exciting cross-sell opportunity for operators.”
“The popularity of live play streaming via social media demonstrates a player demand for an interactive feel – the experience you would enjoy when playing alongside others in a land-based casino.”
A new form of blackjack
Playtech has also launched Quantum Blackjack, which is the iGaming industry’s first multiplier-based variant of blackjack. This release is a follow-on from Quantun Roulette.
An additional draw will commence once the first bets have been placed. Three cards will be drawn and given a random multiplier of either three, five or 10. Players will be paid according to this multiplier, should they draw one of these hands and beat the dealer.
Kilminster also mentioned that future Quantum games are also likely to be released. He said: “Quantum Roulette has been one of Playtech Live’s biggest launches of the year, thanks to both its immersive visual atmosphere and the unique multiplier win concept.
“We’re confident that, as the first-to-market multiplier-based Blackjack game, Quantum Blackjack will prove equally popular and set the tone for future Quantum Releases.
“With more than 20 additional live variants also launched this year, including American Roulette, Dragon Jackpot Baccarat, All Bets Blackjack and Casino Stud Poker to name but a few, everyone at Playtech is already looking forward to raising the bar even further in 2020.”
