Lee-Ann Johnstone: Congratulations on your new role as Global CEO of Phonexa! What are your initial thoughts stepping into this position?
David Pickard: Thank you, Lee-Ann. I’m genuinely excited about this opportunity. After six years with Phonexa in the U.K., where I’ve been involved with our U.S. operations and other regions, this new role allows me to engage more deeply with our global team. The chance to collaborate closely with our teams worldwide is incredibly exciting. I’m eager to see what impact I can make on a global scale and to work closely with our teams across all territories.
Lee-Ann Johnstone: With your extensive background in performance marketing and your leadership at Phonexa U.K., what key lessons will you bring to your new global role?
David Pickard: One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the necessity of adaptability. The performance marketing landscape is constantly changing; strategies that work today may not be effective tomorrow. Flexibility and openness to new approaches are crucial. Additionally, managing regulatory challenges has taught me the importance of staying compliant while remaining competitive. Ensuring that our software and technology are robust enough to support these needs is essential. My focus will be on leveraging this adaptability and regulatory experience to drive our global strategy forward.
Lee-Ann Johnstone: Phonexa is known for its all-in-one platform that supports various aspects of affiliate and performance marketing. How do you plan to evolve these offerings for the global marketplace?
David Pickard: Phonexa’s platform is already quite comprehensive. We offer eight integrated modules: call tracking, lead management and distribution, website heat mapping, high-volume email and SMS, click tracking, suppression list management, and accounting infrastructure for partner payments. Our platform was designed with a global perspective, and we’ve consistently worked on future-proofing our solutions. This includes expanding into new markets like Canada and continually enhancing our tools. We aim to keep our solutions flexible to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our exceptional product team is always innovating, pushing the boundaries of what we offer. As we evolve, we’ll be adding advanced AI integrations, updates to our lead management and call tracking solutions, and compliance-related features to ensure our customers stay ahead of regulatory changes. Our goal is to ensure that our platform remains adaptable and continues to address the evolving challenges of our clients.
Lee-Ann Johnstone: What sets Phonexa apart from other performance marketing platforms, and how do you plan to leverage that competitive edge globally?
David Pickard: Phonexa’s primary differentiator is our comprehensive all-in-one platform. Clients benefit from an integrated solution that manages multiple functions—from call tracking and lead management to email and SMS campaigns—without the need for disparate tools. This integration is a significant advantage. Our team’s extensive experience in performance marketing enhances our ability to provide real, actionable solutions. As we expand globally, we’ll focus on maintaining this integration and delivering exceptional customer service. Our clients appreciate not having to juggle multiple tools, and that’s something we’ll continue to build upon, alongside providing the support they need to grow their businesses.
Lee-Ann Johnstone: How do you plan to capitalize on emerging trends such as AI within the platform?
David Pickard: We’re actively incorporating AI and machine learning into our platform to enhance automation and decision-making capabilities. For instance, our forthcoming call center solution will integrate AI to improve customer journeys and adapt to new regulations, such as the upcoming FCC changes. AI will help us refine how we nurture customers and streamline the sales funnel. We’re excited about these developments and the real-world applications they will offer to our clients. More details will be coming soon.
Lee-Ann Johnstone: Finally, what excites you most about Phonexa’s future in your new global leadership role?
David Pickard: Phonexa is in a fantastic position for growth and innovation. We have an outstanding team and a robust technology platform. Our market presence is strong, and I feel fortunate to be stepping into this role at such a pivotal time. The ability to deploy new ideas rapidly and watch our team thrive is incredibly motivating. I’m eager to see how we can leverage our strengths to drive Phonexa’s global success.
