The odds comparison site and consumer gaming media group, Oddschecker has announced that it has agreed to acquire the trade and assets of WhoScored.com, an online destination of live scores, statistics and propriety player ratings for an undisclosed sum.
This acquisition reinforces Oddschecker’s strategic vision to build high quality and engaging products that deliver world-class experiences for sports and betting fans around the world.
While being founded in 2008, WhoScored provides in-depth insight and analysis of football data to a large international audience. Their data is captured across 500 football leagues, 15,000 teams and 250,000 players.
A propriety algorithm then automatically generates player ratings which are based on more than 200 data points which are collected in real-time during matches.
