PokerMatch has now received its licence from the Gambling and Lotteries Regulation Commission in Ukraine, allowing the operator to offer its services to players in the country.
This announcement follows on from the Gambling and Lotteries Regulation Commission making its final decision on June 25th. PokerMatch, one of the leading online poker sites that operates in jurisdictions across the world, is hopeful that their new licence will help them to “create a wholesome community around PokerMatch Ukraine.”
Encouraging a social community among players
“The license is a big and important step for the entire company. PokerMatch will continue to popularise and develop sports poker in Ukraine and make players happy,” said CEO Victor Kyrychenko.
He continued: “Now there are great resources and platforms to bring people together according to their interests. Social networks, forums, meetings with players in a ‘live’ format – all this strengthens the trust users have in the company and, of course, gives the necessary feedback on the implemented projects and ideas for future plans.”
Popularising sports poker in Ukraine
In addition, the online poker operator is planning on organising a live series of games in Ukraine, conducting the event like a sports tournament. “We want to take a leading position in the Ukrainian market in the first year after legalisation,” said a PokerMatch spokesperson.
“We are sure that with our arsenal of marketing tools, experience and understanding of poker player psychology, we will succeed. We will popularise sports poker, encouraging more and more Ukrainians to enter the world of this beautiful game.”
