New slots Twitch channel to launch in the US

US iGaming affiliate site Wedge Traffic will soon be launching a new Twitch channel dedicated to slots play. This channel will be called the Slot Squad and it will feature some big personalities in the industry. The launch comes as more affiliates try their hand at Twitch streaming in Europe.

2021 launch

Slot Squad will officially launch in the US on 1 January 2021. This channel is one of the latest projects that Wedge Traffic has been using to target US players and improve their brand awareness. Some of the states that they are targeting include Pennsylvania, New Jersey and soon, Michigan.

This Twitch channel will focus on slots play and will showcase these games to a new audience. The channel will feature personalities like EatAHogie and Vinnie Goombatz.

Using Twitch to ignite US iGaming

Some affiliates and operators have already been using Twitch to target players in Europe but this isn’t something which is really being done in the US market just yet.

Co-Founder of Wedge Traffic, David Copeland said: “We are really putting all we can into this new channel. Casino streaming is something we have seen in Europe, but we really think we can bring gaming alive in the US via Twitch.”

He added: “In Vinnie Goombatz and EatAHogie, we have signed up some great personalities who we are sure will provide unique entertainment value.”

This upcoming launch is a big one for Wedge Traffic and it comes alongside Wedge Index. This aims to contextualise the differences in betting regulations in each US state.

Hopefully, more affiliates and operators will take note and use Twitch to its full potential in 2021.
