TikTok has further improved its accessibility and ability to reach more users with the introduction of its new caption and translation tools.
TikTok has added automated captions, which gives users another way to include text descriptions with their videos. These will appear on the lower left-hand side of the screen and provide users with another way to view and experience videos. This comes after last year’s release of a very similar feature, however, the updated version will make it even easier than before for creators to include captions on their videos.
As well as this, TikTok is including translations for these captions as well as for descriptions, which will increase the accessibility of TikTok content for users across the world.
These caption and translation tools will help marketers to reach new audiences and maximise the performance of their content on the app.
The last thing that TikTok have added in their latest update is translations for any overlays or stickers that are primarily text-based. This will help to improve the context and accessibility for users worldwide.
The languages supported by these new translation tools from TikTok will include English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Turkish, Indonesian and Korean. This variety could be a way for new global trends to be shared and for creators to be able to share with audiences they otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach.
These tools are in the early stages of being integrated and are currently only available on certain videos.
