The Roar Digital joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings has launched its BetMGM online sports betting and gambling app in New Jersey.
BetMGM, which replaces the PlayMGM app which was introduced in the state by MGM in 2017, features the new GVC sportsbook platform, as well as a range of traditional casino and poker games which were previously offered through PlayMGM.
The launch comes after Roar Digital last week agreed a deal with US sports bar and restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings to jointly deliver sports betting experiences to punters across the country.
Users will have access to an early cash out service, where they can choose to settle a bet before a game ends, as well as the ability to track their wagers via live scoreboards.
BetMGM will feature one wallet system that allows for unlimited movement of funds within customer accounts from sports to casino to poker, as well as a host of payment methods which can be used to deposit, such as PayPal, Play+ and Skrill.
Users will also have access to daily to boosted bets and promotions across all major sports, which include professional and collegiate American football.
MGM’s president of interactive gaming, Scott Butera, said: “The mobile gaming industry’s future is on a steep incline – we are harnessing best in class mobile technology from Roar Digital, powered by GVC.
“We expect this significant upgrade to our mobile experience to complement MGM’s proven retail presence and allow us to immediately compete in New Jersey, and future states when mobile gaming is approved.”
GVC chief executive Kenny Alexander added: “The combination of the power of MGM’s brand alongside GVC’s state-of-the-art technology and online sports-betting expertise will ensure that the BetMGM offering is at the forefront of the US sport-betting opportunity.”
