This week we welcome Cristel Guajardo who has joined our team to support the growth and development of our new community offering as Business Development Manager.
Cristel has a significant background in event management in both the UK and Chile, where she currently is based. Cristel will be responsible for sourcing potential new relationships, to help our community grow and helping people get connected with services and suppliers to keep businesses connecting during these uncertain times.
Extensive experience in various industries
It was while studying at Queen Mary University of London that Cristel discovered her passion for events. During her time there, she began working on a part-time basis for the Alumni and Events office. She then moved on to work for the English-Speaking Union as an Alumni Officer.
After moving back to her native Chile, our new BDM found a job as a Sales Executive. This was for a sales company which organised events for the oil and gas industry in Latin America, as well as within infrastructure and mining for the same region.
Back to the UK, then back to Chile again…
Clearly missing the sunshine, Cristel moved from Chile to the UK and began working for DMG Events. The primary focus here was on Gastech, which is an important exhibition and conference for the gas, LNG and energy industries. While she didn’t have the opportunity to travel, she believes it was a great opportunity to work within the oil and gas industry. She was a central part of the company’s development and growth, with her area being responsible for at least 40% of its revenue.
… Which brings us to the present day
As you can see, Cristel has quite an impressive background in supporting networking and trade show events. We’re excited to have her on our team as we seek to expand our Digital and Affiliate Marketing support to this community.
She said the following about her new role with Affiverse.
“Sales and events have always been a part of my career. Now, I want to use those skills to help digital and affiliate marketers get the most out of the services that Affiverse offers. I am very excited to connect to a host of new businesses and learn about the world of media and iGaming.
