Greek lottery and gaming solutions provider, Intralot, has revamped its operational and commercial divisions in its most recent restructure of the company.
The company reshuffle was instigated in a move to help minimise company costs and streamline the overall operations. It is hoped that this will help facilitate a much quicker project delivery, helping leverage new product launches across all divisions.
Chief operations officer, Maria Stergiou, is set to transition into the role of chief sales and operations officer. Stergiou will be tasked with overseeing both sales and operations for Intralot, with the responsibility of supervising projects across the world, and lead business development, bidding and sales.
Fotis Konstantellos has been tasked with heading up Intralot’s lotteries division, despite being named chief commercial officer only a few weeks ago. His new role will see him take charge of the company’s LOTOS platform and the supplier’s lottery terminal business.
Intralot is making the drastic changes following on from the company’s recent financial reports, which saw a 6.4 per cent drop in turnover to €870.8m for 2018, and a net loss for the year of €25.6m.
Alongside Stergiou’s promotion, Nicklas Zajdel has been announced as Intralot’s chief digital and sports betting officer after being hired from GVC’s Ladbrokes Coral as chief digital officer. Zajdel is set to take the lead on product and technical development, overseeing Intralot’s Orion platform in addition to managing the company’s trading operations.
Christos Dimitriadis has been announced as chief service and delivery officer, set to take charge of integrated solution delivery and technical support for group projects.
