iGB Affiliate will be moving one of its networking events to Berlin this year. The Q3 conference has previously taken place in Lisbon.
iGB Affiliate Berlin will take place from 19-22 October 2020, at the STATION venue. One of the cited reasons was due to the German capital’s blossoming start-up scene.
Back to Berlin
Berlin has held iGaming affiliate events in the past. up until 2017, the city has hosted the Berlin Affiliate Conference. However, Clarion Gaming then decided to move the conference to Portugal.
But now, things are moving back to Germany. The move has been well-received by the industry. Better Collective Director Michal Kopec commented on the news, with the following.
“Berlin is a fantastic destination for an event, logistically, culturally, and the German market has a lot of potential. I’m really excited to see the move.”
More convenient for delegates
Beforehand, the Berlin Affiliate Conference was held at Messe Berlin. This in the eastern part of the city, but due to Berlin’s spread-out geography was sometimes challenging to reach.
STATION, on the other hand, is more central. It’s reachable from Alexanderplatz in around 20 minutes by public transport.
Naomi Burton, Group Event Director for iGB Affiliate, cited convenience as one of the reasons for the venue change. She said:
“Having spent time out in the market talking to customers and researching suitable international locations for the third iGB event in our global series, Berlin quickly emerged as a frontrunner due to its unbeatable accessibility and great links to the emerging eastern European markets.”
Burton continued by praising STATION itself: “I’m also really excited to be bringing iGB Affiliate Berlin to such a dynamic and experience-enhancing event space.
