Google has confirmed the existence of its own conversational artificial intelligence (AI) system – Google Bard.
The news comes after OpenAI’s ChatGPT tool took the internet by storm. The bot has received global attention and has been the subject of much praise and criticism, with some heralding it as the next big step forward for AI technology, and others worried it could mark the beginning of job losses and automation.
It would seem that Google is keen to get in on the action, releasing details about its own AI chatbot this week: “AI is the most profound technology we are working on today. Whether it’s helping doctors detect diseases earlier or enabling people to access information in their own language, AI helps people, businesses and communities unlock their potential. And it opens up new opportunities that could significantly improve billions of lives.
“That’s why we re-oriented the company around AI six years ago – and why we see it as the most important way we can deliver on our mission: to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
AI systems like ChatGPT have opened up a whole new world of possibilities and are promising to revolutionize a number of different industries and sectors. We discussed how the technology could benefit affiliates, check it out here.
