Global Gaming subsidiary SafeEnt and online operator Videoslots were both awarded licences from Lotteriinspektionen, the Swedish gambling authority, yesterday.
Global Gaming’s five-year casino and sportsbook licence is for its Ninja Casino and SpelLandet brands.
The firm’s Head of Compliance Linda Kärrholt said: “We were one of the first operators to submit a licence application on August 1st 2018, the first available day, and are proud to announce that all the hard work put in by our team has paid off.”
“We are thankful for this seal of approval,” added CEO Joacim Möller. “It not only signals their approval of our business model but also gives us an opportunity to continue focussing on our largest market.”
This is yet another European licence for Global Gaming, after those recently granted by the Malta Gaming Authority and the Estonian Tax and Customs Board. The company has noted that it will continue to evaluate opportunities in other jurisdictions
“We are delighted to be taking our unique casino offering to Swedish players and are grateful that the regulator has given us the opportunity,” explained Videoslots CEO Alexander Stevendahl.
“Videoslots was among the very first operators to apply for a licence as we always saw the potential in a fully-regulated market. I am very pleased that all the hard work put in by the team has now been rewarded.”
Last week, Lotteriinspektionen announced its first 16 approved operators for the newly-regulated market, which included Betsson, LeoVegas and Kindred Group.
