Fubo Gaming has confirmed that its sportsbook brand, Fubo Sportsbook, is now live in the state of New Jersey.
The news comes after an initial trial soft launch, as stipulated by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement’s regulatory process.
Sports fans in the state will now be able to place pre-event and in-play wagers across a range of sports and events. The launch comes in time for the new NFL season, set to kick off this weekend.
“Launching Fubo Sportsbook in New Jersey is an important early step in the development of our integrated platform, which includes a recently improved user experience and enhanced product capabilities. As one of the largest and most established sports betting markets in the US, New Jersey will allow Fubo to analyse and efficiently develop the most engaging product features that are focused on driving streaming customers into wagering,” said Fubo Gaming President Scott Butera.
The move was finalised through Fubo Gaming’s partnership with Caesars Entertainment, while Fubo has an existing presence in the region via its partnership with the New York Jets.
The US sports betting industry is booming, with Hard Rock Digital recently launching its Hard Rock Sportsbook app in Indiana and Tennessee.
According to reports, Americans have wagered over $125bn on sports over the past four years.
