Luke Alvarez, formerly of Inspired Entertainment, has been announced as the new BetVictor chairman, with the appointment effective from 1 December.
With a proven track record of leading global technology, media and telecommunication (TMT) companies over a 28 year career, with 18 years in regulated gaming and sports, Alvarez brings a wealth of experience to the BetVictor board.
Alvarez joins BetVictor during a continued period of growth driven by investments in its mobile sportsbook and e-gaming product suite, and technology platform. BetVictor’s new chairman will enhance the company’s customer protection, regulatory and compliance programmes, and provide strategic direction to further build on BetVictor’s successes.

Alvarez most recently served as President and CEO of Inspired, a UK-based international leader in virtual sports and digital gaming as well as Chairman of Inspired Gaming Gibraltar – the Group’s mobile gaming division. Alvarez founded the company in its previous form, Inspired Gaming Group Limited in 2002.
He co-founded and served as Non-Executive Director (NED) of Gmatica SRL, a leading Italian regulated network gaming concession.
