Global sports betting affiliate Better Collective has launched the Greek Bookmakers Awards. During the event, the country’s best operators within this vertical will be celebrated. The inaugural ceremony will be held in Athens early next year.
The Greek Bookmaker Awards: how it works
The awards show will recognise the country’s best sportsbooks within 12 categories. These are: Best Basketball Odds, Best Football Odds, Best Markets Selection, Best Customer Service, Best Social Media Engagement, Best Banking Options, Best Betting Experience, Best Welcome Offers, Best Existing Customer Offers, Best Innovation in Sports Betting Experience, Best Sports Betting Bookmaker Greece, and Best Sports Betting Bookmaker in Greece Players’ Choice.
Better Collective’s motivation for this initiative was to benefit the player. It’s expected that these awards will help punters make better-informed choices about who they deposit with. Shona O’Donnell, Head of Strategic Events at the company, said:
“The Greek Bookmakers Awards is in line with Better Collective’s vision to empower iGamers. Online bettors in Greece will now have the opportunity to get a transparent overview of which operators are the best within specific criteria.
“The iGaming industry is filled with great award shows, but we think there is a need for an award that targets the end consumer. We very much look forward to celebrating the operators in the Greek market.”
Awards process
Data will drive the results in each category, which will be fully audited by an advisory board. This panel will consist of industry members with a high level of experience in iGaming. Moreover, all regulated sportsbooks in the Greek market will be eligible to receive accolades.
The ceremony will take place in the Greek capital on 23rd January 2020. It’ll be held at the Lighthouse at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Better Collective’s Greek flagship product, Betarades.gr, also helped to organise these awards. The reason there are multiple categories is to assist Greek players with market navigation, based on what they find valuable.
