The EGR Operator Awards are often referred to as the Oscars of the iGaming world. This glitzy event took place on the 12th of November in Malta. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a decision was taken to make the EGR Operator Awards 2020 ceremony virtual.
Some of the biggest operators in the industry tuned in to see who would manage to scoop the top prizes in each category. Though the night was slightly different than the one we usually enjoy, there was no doubting that it was still one that everyone could enjoy. Let’s take a look at some of the big winners of the night.
Bojoko – Casino Affiliate
Bagging their first EGR award, Bojoko has gone from strength to strength over the last three years. With over 23,000 registered members, they are able continue to innovate and deliver highly focused content. In particular, the judges praised them for the flexibility of their scheme and their use of an Airbnb and Trip Advisor-style business model.
They beat out some other big names in the industry to take home the trophy, including Gambling.com Group, Catena Media, and Blexr.
Betsson Group Affiliates – Affiliate Program
Betsson is a big name in the casino world so it is great to see them get recognition for the innovation they bring to the industry. They are able to offer their partners a flexible program with a number of advertising tools that allows them to best optimise their campaigns. With strong brand messaging and relationship management, this is a brand that is going from strength to strength.
This category saw them come up against operators like bet365 and William Hill International to come out on top.
Gamesys Group – Employer of the Year
A brilliant working environment is key in an industry like this. The Gamesys Group proves that different workforces can come together with the right communication and training to make one company that can work towards its goals effectively. The judges praised their bottom up approach to employee culture, and their selection of training programs and employee motivation tools.
They pulled out ahead of other top employers in the sector, including some massive names like William Hill and DraftKings.
Luckbox – Rising Star
eSports have exploded in the last few years, and there have been many well-established brands scrambling to include betting options in their offerings. Luckbox has risen head and shoulders above everyone else to be able to deliver an excellent platform dedicated to eSports betting. The judges remarked how impressive it was that a new entrant to the market such as them were able to offer such a stable product, and how they are definitely on the rise as a brand.
Amongst the other brands nominated in this category were names such as Foxy Games, Bojoko, and Rabona.
The stars of the iGaming world were certainly honoured in the EGR Operator Awards 2020.
