Leading sports betting platform DraftKings has launched its digital sportsbook in the state of Virginia. This debut marks the twelfth state that it is now active in with its mobile and online sports wagering service.
More betting opportunities for players
As a result of recent approval from the Virginia Lottery, customers who use the DraftKings app in this state will be offered more betting opportunities over the course of this year. They will be able to place bets on a number of markets across collegiate and professional sports taking place in Virginia.
According to reports, DraftKings will allow players to bet on more than 250 unique leagues including boxing, soccer, baseball, golf, football, hockey and more. It is expected that most sports fans in Virginia will use the DraftKings app to bet on the NFL and the NBA.
A customer-first approach
DraftKings is a popular brand in the US with launches taking place across various US states. Just last week, they launched in Michigan as a result of recent law changes there. By launching in Virginia, they hope to offer a great experience for fans in time for the Super Bowl.
Co-Founder and CEO of DraftKings, Jason Robins said: “Just in time for Super Bowl LV, we are thrilled to bring the DraftKings sports betting experience to Virginia with an abundance of betting options for fans.”
He added: “With our customer-first approach, we hope to be the sportsbook of choice for Virginians who enjoy having skin in the game.”
This brand is fast becoming one of the most notable options for sports fans across the US. With more markets opening up all the time, DraftKings is certainly a brand to watch in 2021. With each new market entry comes more opportunities for affiliates.
