DraftKings has penned an extensive multi-year partnership with the New York Giants in the NFL.
Through the deal, the sportsbook and daily fantasy sports operator will be the Giants’ exclusive sports betting partner.
DraftKings will enjoy exposure and other marketing niceties, while also contributing to fan engagement.
“We are excited to expand our relationship”
The 2020 NFL campaign got underway earlier this month, with the Giants currently having a 0-1 record. Their next game is this Sunday, at the Chicago Bears.
DraftKings Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz had the following to say about the deal.
“The New York Giants have continued to be a fantastic organisation to work with over the years, and we are excited to expand our relationship as the Giants’ Official Exclusive Sports Betting, iGaming and Daily Fantasy operator.
“Both organisations remain committed to customer experience through enhanced product offerings and authenticity and look forward to joining forces across platforms as the highly-anticipated NFL season gets underway.”
“Innovative opportunities”
DraftKings will have their branding feature around the MetLife Stadium, while also gaining access to the Giants’ marks and logos. Moreover, a virtual SportsLounge will be opened on game days.
Giants Chief Commercial Officer Pete Guelli shared his thoughts on the partnership and said the below.
“Our enhanced agreement with DraftKings provides innovative opportunities as we look to deliver a best-in-class fan experience.
“DraftKings is the preeminent leader in sports betting and daily fantasy sports and we are excited to be the first NFL team to have an exclusive integrated deal in this category.”
DraftKings already has a significant presence in New York elsewhere, including with the Knicks and Rangers.
