DALL∙E visual AI tool to be integrated with Bing and Edge

It seems like there are new AI developments every day now. With ChatGPT, Bing ChatBot, and Google Bard, the technology is rapidly expanding and looks set to revolutionise how we use the internet.

This week, Microsoft confirmed that OpenAI’s DALL∙E visual AI tool will be integrated into the Edge internet browser and the Bing search engine.

DALL∙E is a deep-learning AI system that can generate images and artwork based on user prompts. Some of the results the technology can produce are remarkable, a testament to the ever-increasing power of modern AI systems.

Users of the Edge browser and Bing search engine will be able to use DALL∙E to create realistic images whenever they want.

The tool will be available within the Bing search engine itself, users will be able to type prompts to generate images. In Edge, DALL∙E can be accessed via a pop-up menu, allowing users to generate images on the fly for a range of different purposes.

The feature is currently available to a select number of users, with a wider rollout expected soon.

Microsoft has been at the forefront of AI integration, announcing last week that a new generative AI tool, Copilot, is set to be integrated across the company’s suite of customer relationship management and enterprise resource management solutions.
