Following the success of its inaugural series of CheckdMedia’s I Had Trials Once… podcast, Beer52 has been confirmed as the first sponsor to the sub-brand for WeekendSport.
The launch of I Had Trials Once, marked CheckdMedia’s debut venture into the podcast sector, with it reaching a high of number eight in the sports charts, amongst podcasts from the likes of Peter Crouch, Bradley Wiggins and Eddie Hearn.
The first series covered a range of topics with six guests in total. The guests ranged from Bury player Nicky Adams, who has since joined Northampton Town to former Burnley, Hull and Celtic player Andy Payton. The podcasts are produced to entertain listeners, whilst also touching on serious topics such as mental health, addiction and also financial issues.
As a sub-brand of WeekendSport, the podcast has its own social presence, amassing almost 20,000 followers. This additional platform provides both a traffic driving source but also a unique level engagement for podcasts.
With over 65,000 plays of its debut podcast series, CheckdMedia’s new sports brand WeekendSport, is looking to build on its successful start teasing a wide variety of content for future releases.
