BetConstruct has obtained the necessary certifications from The Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board to launch its sportsbook with Gbets in South Africa before the end of the year.
The fully managed sports betting solution was developed under BetConstruct’s National Manufacturer licence for the country, while the Letter of Certification by the province’s board was based on a report by BMM Test Labs South Africa.
The Gbets sportsbook has pencilled an ‘end of November’ date to launch in South Africa, after it relaunched its online betting and gaming business in Lesotho last month on the BetConstruct solution.
“This certification is another move forward to expanding our supply throughout South Africa,” said Karine Kocharyan, Head of Licensing and Certification at BetConstruct.
“We are happy to start this journey with one of our biggest partners in the region – Gbets, who is planning to relaunch their operations via our platform end of November.”
Dhrupal Amin, Managing Director of Online Gaming at Goldrush Group, the parent company of Gbets, added: “BetConstruct represents the cutting edge of betting technology. Innovations such as Hoory, the voice activated betting assistant, and live multi-play are just some of the leading innovations that attracted Gbets to the BetConstruct technology platform.
“Gbets has made a significant investment in furthering our online gaming operations. We currently operate online gaming operations in South Africa, Lesotho and Mozambique.
“In September 2019 we relaunched our online business in Lesotho on the BetConstruct solution which includes, sports betting online casino and live casino products. The market response has exceeded our expectations, and we are seeing strong growth in new customer acquisition.”
Amin concluded: “Towards the end of November this year, South African betting consumers can look forward to an innovative, world class betting experience with product features new to the South African sports betting landscape.”
