The leading bookmaker has always attempted to drive as much customer engagement as possible amongst bettors in and outside the UK. More recently, they have created animation widgets to accelerate turnover and engagement by collaborating with LVision. The launch of their new Talking Racecards aims to heighten inclusivity among sports fans so more people can experience betting with ease.

The service will see bettors making use of a dedicated phone service whereby they can access assistance and advice on horse race betting. This will prove very useful for those who are visually impaired and enjoy spending time listening to the races as they occur.
As well as this, customers will also be able to personally speak to a Star Sports trader to discuss the race and their bet. Ultimately, the customer will be provided with information surrounding the planning of the race including the race card numbers, horse and jockey names.
Multiple visually impaired racing fans have discussed how happy they are with the extent of inclusivity the bookmaker is driving. Eddie Lanham is visually impaired and has been a Star Sports customer for some time. He noted that “Star involved me in the trials of this service, and I’ve found it to be a great help and will be invaluable moving forward.”
The fact that Star Sports have included fans in the creation of the Talking Racecards is highly beneficial and will see multiple visually impaired customers using the opportunity. Customers can access the bespoke service by calling 0808 169 9389.
For affiliates
Talking Racecards provide fabulous marketing opportunities for affiliates as they can cater their services to a more inclusive audience. This certainly won’t be the last announcement Star Sports make so it’s worth watching this space.
