Shopify has entered the link in bio market with the introduction of their new “Linkpop” tool. This will help creators sell directly from their Linkpop page, allowing customers to browse a merchant’s selection of products and make purchases directly on Linkpop without leaving the app they are currently browsing.
Up to 200 links can be shared via a Linkpop account, and the tool is fully customizable. It comes with built-in analytics to help users know how customers are using their page.
Amir Kabbara, director of product at Shopify, said: “Merchants and creators today are using multiple channels to engage with customers, and that number of touchpoints will only continue to grow.
“With Linkpop, we’ve created a surface that unifies all links merchants post across social channels. What’s even better, we’ve made it a shoppable destination so it’s easy to purchase products directly on Linkpop, which is a win-win for merchants and buyers alike.”
The tools can be used by those who are Shopify merchants and those who are not. Link in bio pages have grown in popularity over the past few years, and can be a great way for affiliates to neatly promote their links on social media pages.
This new Linkpop tool looks to compete with popular service Linktree in addition to other “link in bio” products on the market.
