Tech company Natural Intelligence has acquired Tipstrr, a sports betting tips platform.
Founded in 2009, Natural Intelligence offers a multi-vertical comparison marketplace. This deal forms part of its plans to empower users further.
Jonathan Assif, Head of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships for NI’s Gaming Business Unit, had the following to say about this M&A.
“The acquisition is part of the company’s growth and long-term strategy of providing valuable information to empower users to make informed decisions.”
Tipstrr continues its growth journey
Tipstrr was formed in 2014 by co-founders Damien Fearn, Andy Jones and Liam Cooper. Through its platform, sports punters can access thousands of betting tips each day.
When talking about the deal with NI, Fearn – who is also the company’s CEO – said the following.
“I’m delighted that we’re joining Natural Intelligence. It became clear very early on that Tipstrr and Natural Intelligence could together, offer genuine value to our users.”
He continued: “It’s been a great journey – going from a small startup verifying a handful of tipsters, to processing thousands of tips on a daily basis, but there’s still so much more we want to offer our users.”
Affiliates
Last year, Midlands-based Tipstrr launched its own affiliate program. Through the platform, partners can promote tipping experts from a variety of sports. These include horse racing, football and various American ones.
The program also showcases each tipster’s history, making it easy for affiliates to identify how legitimate they are. At the time of launching its October 2018 initiative, Tipstrr had surpassed one million verified tips.
