Business and networking social media platform, LinkedIn is expanding its features. The site is adding three new features, one of which is called Articles for Pages, and will allow companies to publish long-form content.
Articles for Pages
No longer restricted by a character count, companies can publish blog-style content – a feature previously only appreciated by personal LinkedIn accounts. It also provides details of their audiences’ insights, including firmographics of users’ interactions with the contact.
Live Events
In addition, company pages can now take advantage of new ways to produce their live content. LinkedIn Live Events is a combination of previous features Scheduled LinkedIn Live and LinkedIn Events. This will combine livestreaming with event planning and promote a company’s livestream to its target audience in advance.
Ads
LinkedIn Ads has also been updated with new features to help companies build their brand and measure results. Companies can measure the efficiency of Ads with a baseline of their brand’s perception offered by the feature.
Ads can also be optimised by companies to be shown to new and relevant audiences. Rather than showing the same users again, companies can direct ads to a defined number of unique member accounts. The Reach/Frequency Forecasting and Reporting feature will predict reach and frequency for brand awareness campaigns and measure results.
