Inspired Entertainment, the virtual sports operator and gaming machine have managed to earn themselves a brand new licence in Pennsylvania as the company continues to expand into North America.
The licence that Inspired has gained, the interactive gaming manufacturer licence, will mean that Inspired is now able to offer online games to any operators who are licensed in the US state.
The launch is expected to happen in Pennsylvania later this summer, according to Inspired, with a variety of titles being released and distributed for operators.
The chief operating officer and president of Inspired, Brooks Pierce, said in an interview: “Pennsylvania is one of the largest igaming states in North America and we are excited to add it to our North American geographies, which already includes New Jersey, Michigan, Connecticut, Quebec and Ontario.”
“Many of the licensed online operators in Pennsylvania are already Inspired customers in other jurisdictions, which should allow for us to launch our top-performing content quickly and seamlessly into the market.
“With the growing popularity of our content, increased brand awareness and rapid speed to market, we are confident we are well-positioned to capitalise on this opportunity.”
Earlier just this month games giant Inspired Entertainment made the announcement that it was going to be able to return to profit in Q1, with the company experiencing growth across every area of the business. Inspired reported a revenue increase of 165.8% up to a total of £60.6 million.
Executive Chairman of Inspired Entertainment, Lorne Weil, said that “The North American online market remains a tremendous opportunity for Inspired, and we expect to continue to progress on the same growth trajectory with the continued addition of new customers and markets in the second half of the year.”
