Affiliate EXPO 2020 has been moved back to next year, after new guidelines were released by the Italian government last month.
The event is now expected to take place at the Hotel Mercure Roma West in Rome from 19th – 21st March 2021.
To legislate for the lack of a physical expo this year, a digital week is being planned for October 2020.
Difficult to organise an event under current conditions
Organisers of the Affiliate EXPO explained that the experience, had they chosen to go ahead, would be worse due to various factors.
They said the following.
“It’s very hard for us to imagine the Affiliate EXPO happening like this: with entrance in the sponsors’ area only available upon booking, networking and ludic moments not permitted, and many international attendees not present.
“After all, networking and the business opportunities that derive from it have always been the core of our event.”
Tickets bought for Affiliate EXPO 2020 are now valid for 2021. They can be transferred, if organisers are made aware of the change of ticket owner. However, they are not refundable.
Coming later this year: Affiliate Week 2020
Affiliate EXPO is organising a digital networking event, titled Affiliate Week 2020. This will be held from 19th – 23rd October.
The expo takes place in Italy each year and is the country’s largest event that focuses solely on affiliate marketing.
This year’s event was originally scheduled for March, before the first planned pushback was July.
Affiliate EXPO 2021 will be the third edition of Affiliate EXPO.
