Online casino affiliate, Good Game Limited, has sold its esports news asset Eurheilu.com to the esports specialists Esports Media Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
The sale will be intended to allow Good Game to both reinvest the funds as well as fully focus on driving the growth of its flagship comparison site Bojoko.com.
Joonas Karhu, chief business officer at Good Game Limited, said: “We have spent the past few years building Eurheilu.com into a popular and thriving esports information site and community.
“But as we continue to invest more time and resources into establishing Bojoko as the most popular online casino comparison site in the UK and beyond, the time was right to sell the brand.
“We are thrilled that Esports Media Solutions will be running the site moving forwards as their passion and expertise will take it to the next level.”
Eurheilu.com was initially launched at the start of 2016, providing users with daily news, features, interviews, streams and detailed guides on the booming esports industry.
The site has picked up a lot of traffic among Finnish enthusiasts as well as a wide audience across other Nordic countries – especially as the esports industry has continued to thrive.
Aleksi Halsas, co-founder of Esports Media Solutions, added: “Our Eurheilu.com acquisition supports our strategy in Finland well and we are extremely excited about the opportunities it presents us.”
The sale of Eurheilu.com follows the sale of Good Game’s XLMedia last year for a total consideration of €15m.
