Reddit launches new ad options

Despite boasting huge numbers, Reddit is often forgotten about by marketers, who instead look to the social media giants like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

While these platforms certainly offer the most in terms of users and global reach, there are other options that can be explored and come with a number of additional benefits.

Community platform Reddit is an aggregation site made up of hundreds of thousands of different forums, called Subreddits. Subreddits are dedicated to particular subjects, covering just about any topic you can imagine, and they are populated by highly knowledgeable users who are passionate about that particular topic.

As a result, Reddit has long been an attractive option for brands looking to pursue an organic marketing strategy. By getting involved with communities, brands can build meaningful relationships with potential customers and boost their image and reputation.

Reddit has long offered advertising options for businesses, but it would seem the platform is keen to attract more brands, recently launching a brand new ad feature.

With Simple Create, brands can now design, develop, and implement a Reddit ad campaign effectively and efficiently. The feature guides the user through the process step-by-step, with various options for customisation and optimisation.

First, users can upload creative material such as images and videos, with the option to turn multiple images into a carousel. URLs and CTAs can also be added at this stage.

Next, brands can select targeting options and define which demographics they want their ads delivered to.

After payment, the ad campaign will be launched, and brands can benefit from Reddit’s highly engaged user base of over 430 million monthly active users.
