LinkedIn set to launch native post scheduling

Maintaining a consistent social media presence across a platform like LinkedIn is a key part of a successful digital media strategy. However, it can be difficult to post regularly without hiring dedicated media teams or sacrificing your sleep.

Post scheduling has long been used to address this issue, with users able to plan posts in advance that upload automatically at a time of their choosing.

Businesses on LinkedIn will be pleased to hear that native post scheduling is finally coming to the platform, with the feature set to roll out as part of a larger site-wide update.

Previously, users could schedule posts through the use of third-party apps, but this new update will allow for post scheduling on LinkedIn itself and should significantly streamline the process.

LinkedIn said: “As a marketer, we know it takes time and resources to strategize, create, and publish content in order to reach your audience.

“To help you manage and share content at the right time, you can now select the specific date and time for your Page posts to go live, all within the platform.”

LinkedIn is also making the Audio Events feature available for Company pages. This will allow businesses on the platform to further engage with audiences and grow their online communities through collaborative audio spaces.

This comes as LinkedIn looks to improve the audio services it offers, announcing details of a new Podcast Academy earlier this month. The Podcast Academy is an initiative designed to encourage  and attract new podcast content creators to the platform and to expand the existing LinkedIn Podcast Network.
