Smile-Expo is hosting an expo in Kiev on 6th and 7th October 2020, titled Ukrainian Gaming Week 2020.
The expo will be first major gambling-related networking event in the country since the market’s re-regulation earlier this month.
A range of industry delegates will be present, ranging from niches such as affiliate marketing to payments and beyond.
Attendees will meet on both days at the IEC Pavilion in the Ukrainian capital.
A strong turnout is expected
Event organisers expect 100 companies to attend the two-day expo, as well as 3,000 overall attendees.
Exhibitors will include gaming operators, suppliers, law companies, marketing and SEO agencies, affiliate networks and programs, and more.
Alpha Affiliates will be a bracelet sponsor of Ukrainian Gaming Week 2020. Meanwhile, the marketing agency Digital Chain will act as a badge sponsor.
Gambling in Ukraine
On 11th August, Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky signed Bill 2285-D into law. After being published the following day, the legislation came into effect on 13th August. Since then, gambling has been legal again for operators with a licence in Ukraine.
Online betting will now be permitted, as will land-based gambling in certain locations. Online advertising, such as affiliate marketing, has also become legal.
Gambling in the country had previously been outlawed since 2009, with various efforts made to reverse that. And now, those efforts have paid off.
The new industry will help the Ukrainian national economy to recover, having been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets for the event
Three different ticket categories are available for this year’s edition of Ukrainian Gambling Week. The discounted ‘Exhibition’ package costs 500 UAH (just under £14), with ‘Conference’ being priced at 3,000 UAH (£83) and ‘VIP’ tickets costing 8,000 UAH (around £221).
