Affiliates with South African traffic will soon have new games to promote after Evolution Gaming secured a licence to expand here.
Its national manufacturer licence was issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB). The brand will be able to supply both its own products and those by its subsidiary Eguzi here.
Already in South Africa
Eguzi was acquired by Evolution Gaming in Q4 2018 and has been in South Africa for a while. Martin Carlesund, Evolution Group Chief Executive, acknowledged the importance of the entity in this specific market. After the licence was confirmed, he had the below to say.
“Thanks in large part to the great experience already gained in this market by our Ezugi subsidiary, we are entering a really exciting new vertical in this region.”
Carlesund continued with the following. “Our world-leading live dealer solutions, and new live event betting solutions too, will be available not only on desktop, tablet and smartphone but also in retail betting shops.”
Meanwhile, Kfir Kugler – Eguzi Founder & Chief Executive – also had some words to share.
“There is long-term potential in the regulated South African market to deliver Evolution-powered live dealer games and fixed odds-solutions to operators.
“We also have the opportunity to bring players the most entertaining live games and game show games available in the world, alongside exciting new betting products.”
Global presence
Evolution Gaming already has licences in the UK, Belgium, Malta, Alderney, Romania and Latvia. Further afield, it has one for British Columbia in Canada and New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the US.
French-based casino Partouche also partnered with the brand last week, launching a new online casino in the Swiss market.
The company also has a range of other high-profile partners. These include LeoVegas Casino, Unibet, Mr. Green and Sportingbet.
